Well
it’s finally happening, my debut album
is nearing completion. Lindsay has started
mixing and there will be a single released
on N.F.S 124, one of my own compositions
(Every Family Needs a Farmer).
The
album has twelve tracks, four are covers
and the rest originals by such great songwriters
as Ben Jacobs, Shaza Liegh, Peter Coad,
Ian Quinn, and three of my own.
This
project has been a very enjoyable experience,
the LBS team certainly make
you feel welcome and at ease. Working with
Lindsay has been a very rewarding experience
and an eye opener into yet another facet
of the industry, his patience, hard work
and expertise in this field is simply amazing
Thank
you to all of the musicians and harmony
singers for an outstanding job on this album,
and of course a big thank you to Lindsay
Butler (Producer). I would also like to
thank my good friends Neville and Pat Jukes
for the fantastic photos that they took
for my album cover. Most importantly I would
like to thank all of the fans that continue
to support and encourage me, I am truly
overwhelmed.
The
album will be officially launched on Sunday
17th of August 2008 at the Hexham Bowling
Club with a concert starting at 1.00pm.
Artists performing on this show are Slim
(Redback) Newton, Bob Easter, Greg Williams,
Lindsay Butler, Shaza Liegh and myself,
so if you are in the area come and join
us for a great afternoon of good old traditional
Aussie country music.
A
second launch has also been organized
on Monday 18th August in Tamworth
at the Australian Country Music Foundation
Building, at the monthly (Country in the
Courtyard) starting at 6.30pm.
