In January 2019 the A.B.B.A. continues to bring the members and supporters excellent bush ballad and variety traditional style shows at the “Balladeers Homestead”.

The "Balladeers Homestead" will operate from Friday 18th - Friday 25th January 2019.

Once again the Salvos will operate their canteen from Friday 18th – Friday 25th with quality hot and cold food, snacks and drinks at a very reasonable price.
Please support them if you can as it helps them help others.

We sincerely thank everyone for your valued support of the Concerts and Showcases hosted by the "Balladeers Homestead" venue during the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2018 and look forward to catching up again in 2019.

We now have all the main concert shows for 2019 in place in the listing below.

The BANJO & HENRY show features material written from the pens of Banjo Paterson & Henry Lawson.
So many of the poems from these two Australian icons have evolved into songs over the years and this show covers a huge body of their most popular works in both songs and poem.

Presented by Peter Coad & The Coad Sisters the show has become a firm favourite of the Tamworth Festival week at the 'Balladeers Homestead'.


Many of the songs and poems will be from Peter Coad & The Coad Sisters's album 'Banjo & Henry'.

Guest: Ray Essery.

Ray Essery has his own cds and a book available, which he will be performing material from.

"Hillbilly & Country Gold"
is a top show of Hillbilly & Country Classics from the 40's, 50's & 60's.

Featuring a wide array of songs from acclaimed Australian Hillbilly and Country artists, the show also includes songs from many international artists who inspired our early Australian pioneers to take up their musical careers that led to the Australian Country and Bush Ballad music we know today.

The show is presented by Peter Coad & The Coad Sisters
with guests Jim Hermel & Brian Letton.
Sing along with the favourites of yesterday.
Hear again the songs that played on that old gramophone and those hillbilly radio shows.

Three hour show (includes interval).

Presented by Peter Coad OAM the show proved a real winner in 2018 and the formula in 2019 has remained true to its original concept.

Graham is one of Australia's most highly respected balladeers who is a multi-award winning artist with an impressive catalogue of recordings.

With a busy touring schedule throughout Australia every year taking his show from the city to the far outback, Graham will be bringing his show to the 'Balladeers Homestead' in 2019.

RUNAWAY DIXIE (Gospel, Bluegrass & Ballads) CONCERT is presented by Runaway Dixie.

RUNAWAY DIXIE
3 x Golden Guitar Finalists Runaway Dixie's original material 'Lonesome & Blue', 'Roundabout' and 'Southbound Train' has seen them become finalists in the 2016, 2017 & 2018 Golden Guitar Awards Of Australia.
With their own brand of dynamic accoustic bluegrass/harmonies along with an electric country mix Runaway Dixie are a very popular act where ever they appear.
Runaway Dixie released a new single 'Fishin' In The Dark' in January 2018, from their upcoming 5th album release. They will release another new original single through 2018.

'Gospel, Bluegrass & Ballads' SHOW
The show concept
features a variety of Gospel, Bluegrass & Ballads and features Runaway Dixie joined by an awesome lineup of guest artists.
The show is
always a very popular inclusion as part of the Tamworth Country Music Festival, and 2019 will be no exception.

Artists: Runaway Dixie (Jim Hermel, Virginia and Lynette Coad), Brian Letton, Justin Standley, and Trevor Tolton.

Held each year at the Balladeers Homestead, 328 Goonoo Goonoo Road, Tamworth, the venue is very welcoming with food and drinks available for patrons through all shows held there over the festival week, plenty of parking and wheelchair access.

PETER COAD & THE COAD SISTERS are one of the last fulltime touring family show bands in Australia today.

In a career that has seen them perform at every type of venue whether it be the Sydney Opera House, Birdsville Races, Sydney, Melbourne & Adelaide Royal Ag. Shows, major Country Music Festivals throughout Australia to the most isolated areas of this nation, Peter Coad & The Coad Sisters present their 'unique' traditional music to an ever growing audience.

As a trio they have performed together for nearly 30 years and their show is sprinkled with their own originals such as 'Fred 'The Trucking Duck', 'Kid on The Kangaroo' along with ballads such as 'If Only I Was Young I'd Go Back', 'Riding Out The Storm', 'Wild, Wieird & Wonderful' and more recent popular original songs such as (Youtube link) 'Slim Dusty's Back In Town' , (Tribute To the Slim Dusty Centre'), and 'She Still Waits', 'Tommy Mac' and many more.

With multi-instrumental, multi harmony skills, their own original material, plus a sprinkling of Australiana ballad favourites, along with some yodelling classics and a good dash of humour the Peter Coad & The Coad Sisters Show contains a dynamic musical variety of something for everyone.

All proceeds raised go to Tamworth Country Music Hall Of Fame.
