• Appearances at Festivals / Concerts
GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. ENTRANTS MUST BE OVER 16 YEARS
2. GENUINE BUSH BALLADEERS ONLY
3. MUST NOT HAVE COMMERCIALLY RECORDED/RELEASED
MORE THAN 500 COPIES of a CASSETTE or CD.
4. DUOS AND BANDS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR BALLADEERS
QUEST
5. ONE CATEGORY FOR FEMALE AND MALE BALLADEERS
6. NO BACKING TAPES PERMITTED AT THE QUEST
/BAND SUPPLIED
7. NO VIDEO/FILMING OF OVERALL OR INDIVIDUAL
QUEST PERFORMANCES ALLOWED.
8. THERE WILL BE OFFICIAL VIDEO FOOTAGE TAKEN OF
THE QUEST, AND THE ENTRANTS SEGMENT WILL BE
AVAILABLE TO THEM, AT A LATER DATE, IF THEY
WISH. |
THE ENTRANT
1. Must submit
quality recent photo and bio.
2. Must submit 1 demo tape with 4
Bush Ballads (originals or covers)
performed by the entrant on each.
3. Enclose Application fee of $15,
(cheque or money order, payable
to the Australian Bush Balladeers
Association Inc)
4. ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY
THE 31st September 2008.
5. FINALISTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY MAIL BY
THE 31st September 2008.
QUEST PERFORMANCE DETAILS
1. The Finalists will be advised
of Seating Arrangements at the
Quest, and Appearance time etc.
2. The Finalists must supply
chord charts to the MD of the
backing band of the 4 songs on
tape; Chord
charts may consist of 'chords
above lyrics', or standard charts.
3. IMPORTANT NOTE;
CASSETTE AND CHORD CHARTS MUST BE
IN THE SAME "KEYS" THE
ENTRANT WILL SING IN AT
THE QUEST.
4. Backing Band (three piece,
drums, rhythm/lead, bass) will be
provided at the Quest, entrants
may use their own guitar.
5. JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL AND
NO CORRESPONDENCE WILL ENTERED
INTO.
STAR QUEST ENTRANT DETAILS
1. If the Star
Quest 2009 winner, I agree to
abide by all rules, conditions,
guidelines and festival
appearances as determined by The
Australian Bush Balladeers Star
Quest, at the Tamworth Festival,
and throughout the ensuing 12
months.
2. If the Star Quest winner, I
will be under contract to the
Australian Bush Balladeers
Association during the Tamworth Festival 2009 to
appear at prominent commitments eg, radio interviews,
Bush ballad Concerts etc, organised by the
A.B.B.A. on
behalf of the Star Quest winner.
3. I agree to the Australian Bush
Balladeers Association using
video footage of my performance,
for promotional purposes, etc. All
rights registered with AMCOS.
4. If the winner I agree to
record the Winners Single in a
prominent and professional
studio, of industry excepted standard, chosen and
approved by The Australian Bush
Balladeers Association Committee.
5. The Bush Ballad style song
recorded by the winner will be
the choice of The Australian Bush
Balladeers Association Committee.
6. If the winner, I agree not to
release any prerecorded un-released
tracks/albums or record other
tracks/albums during the 12 months,
without negotiation with and
written permission from the
Australian Bush Balladeers
Association Committee.
7. If the winner, the only expenses covered by
the A.B.B.A., will be those approved, organised or
negotiated with the A.B.B.A.. Any other
unapproved expenses will be at my own cost.
8. If the winner, I can only perform Australian
Bush Ballad material at all
public appearances during the 12 months.
9. By signing the below Entry Form I am bound by
the Conditions in the Star Quest Details and
Entry Form if I become the winner. |
