G'day Everyone,

Well here we are again, gee this year is flying.
Had a great time at Bundy, as always caught up with some great mates and heard some awesome music. Oh yeah Jenny and Terry Darke were there, so I had to goto their stall and buy some more jeans
I survived the two weeks at College. It was a great experience and I met some unreal and very talented people. There were 21 students in the senior course and 21 in the junior course, they also had a course for the parents of the juniors. I got alot out of it, abit about songwriting, marketing, promoting, abit about the guitar and heaps more.
Graduation night was awesome, we did our own thing and we all got together for two songs. I had a great time, I would like to thank the CMAA,Tutors,Organisers, Calrossy School for putting us up, the Guest Speakers and most of all A.B.B.A for giving me the oppotunity to attend, thanks heaps.
When the college was finish, Hats Off had just started. On Saturday the 10th of July I caught up with some more good mates at the Shirley Thoms Bronze Bust Concert. It was a great afternoon with Lorraine Pfitzner as compere.
Looking forward to catching up with you all at the next festival.
Catch you next time,
Sharon

BIO

SHARON SMITH

Sharon was born in Pittsworth Queensland. She has resided in the Pittsworth and Oakey region most of her life.

When at school she was very sports minded, and as boxing was a sport that has been in her family for al
ong time, she took it on.
Sharon trained with her father and brothers for most of her younger life, then at the age of fifteen she perservered and committed herself to the sport for 5 years, her reward being the first women's welterweight champion of Queensland.

While always being inspired by music, Sharon really didn't participate until she met Jeff Brown and started to play bass.
Over the period of time that Sharon and Jeff were together, she got to support many distinguished country music artists including Dean Perrett, Barry Thorton, Charlie Boyter, Keith Jamieson, Alisha Smith and many more.

In 2009 Sharon entered the Australian Bush Balladeers Association's Bush Balladeer Star Quest and made the final four. Sharon won the Bush Balladeer Star Quest.
Since the Bush Balladeer Star Quest, Sharon has released her first album titled "The Road Of Life" and has received two awards, Pittsworth Gidgee Coals Encouragement Award and Gold Medallion Award QLD New Talent Of The Year.

2010 Sharon was nominated in the final 3 in the New Talent Award at the Bungendore Country Muster.
Another great experience was the Country Music College, Sharon was one of 21 senior students at the college in 2010.
